I have been practicing in Pune from last 30 years after spending 6 years in Japan and England where I was fortunate to receive training in the latest techniques in Neurosurgery, including Microscopic Neurosurgery, CT and MRI guided Stereotactic Neurosurgery, Neuro Endoscopy, Vascular Surgery, Endoscopic Spinal Surgery & Radiosurgery After completing my MS in General Surgery in Pune, in 1987, in which I stood first with distinction, I did my M.Ch in Neurosurgery from J.J. Group of Hospital, Mumbai, where again I stood first . I then spent two years as a Senior Clinical Assistant with the renowned Neurosurgeon and professor, Dr. S.N.Bhagwati at Bombay Hospital. I then went to Japan on the Monbusho Scholarship awarded by the Japanese Government. After three years in Japan, I proceeded to England to work as a Senior Registrar in Neurosurgery at the Royal Preston Hospital, Manchester, for a period of three years. Both these terms abroad were teaching assignments, wherein I gained rich clinical and operative experience. I have compiled a dossier of over 10000 surgeries. The department of Neurosurgery, Shinshu University, School of Medicine, Japan, Preston Acute Hospitals, UK and Dr.S.N.Bhagwati have been kind enough to give me glowing testimonials for the work I have done under their guidance. I am one of the fortunate few to have received training in latest know-how in Neurosurgery including microscopic and C.T. & MRI guided Stereotactic Neurosurgery and Neuro Endoscopy, Radiosurgery which is a major advance in reducing patient morbidity and mortality significantly.
